family

I think Casey had a great birthday weekend. He had Friday off, and we played his new video game just about all day, a treat for him because I am not too in to that. Saturday Keith and Barb came over and made some delicious steak fajitas for dinner, yum! Sunday all my family came over and just had a great time. They played video games, Casey colored and played with our Nieces, and we had some great food. I have a fetal doppler, so after eating birthday cake, we got to hear our boy's heartbeat and him kick the heck out of my stomach! My Nieces were absolutely amazed. My youngest one, Gianna, was so surprised and maybe a little scared that my stomach was bouncing around like that. So funny! I got to enjoy watching it all from the air mattress in the living room. Next year will be even better, we will have a baby here!

Happy Birthday Casey!

I wanted to wish a very happy birthday to my love, companion, and best friend, Casey. He has been working so hard for us and just deserves a nice relaxing day. I am not able to get up and go anywhere for him:( My Mom and Sister came over last night and made some homemade lasagna for dinner on Sunday. Can't wait. My cousin, Brenda, brought us over some yummy subs and a great new book for Casey. Such a thoughtful gift and break for him. He didn't have to make dinner. He also got a new book from Matt, Stacey, and Niece, Lily. Barb and Keith will be coming over tomorrow for a birthday lunch. I wish I could do half of what he has been doing for me, for us, for him today. I just continue to pray for strength, peace, and patients for him.

Tonight some of my friends will be coming over to have a "Girl's Night" ,in my room of course, and to keep me company while Casey goes to a wedding. I am so thankful for all the support we have been getting. It is a very lonely feeling to just lay in a room all day, only getting up to go to the restroom and take a quick shower. We know it will be all worth it this summer and I would lay completely still and upside down if I had to for six months. We love this lil man so much already and are patiently waiting to meet him.

it's a BOY!!!

(putting his fist up)

We found out for sure today, it's a BOY! We are both very excited to be blessed with another little boy. We are still trying to decide on a name, but we know for sure the middle name will be Mose, after Casey's Pop pop. It was so great to see him moving all around, kicking, and stretching. He is a very active baby. I can feel him move all the time. You can even see my stomach jump. The doctor said he is very healthy and weighing in at 11oz right now. Big boy. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family.

As I said last week, we have a nurse come to the house to give me shots. She taught Casey how to give them to me, and I have to say, he did a MUCH better job than she did. It didn't even hurt. He is doing great. Casey's birthday is Friday, but we will be having a family get together on Sunday. We can't wait for some good home cooking and to just be with everyone.

Please pray for Mollie, Casey's Mom mom. She went into the emergency room this morning with chest and left arm pain. She is doing better and no more pain. They will be keeping her for more test.

halfway!

As of yesterday, we are 18 weeks, halfway to OUR goal of 36 weeks. So far so good. I feel like it is moving pretty fast. My nerves are a wreck and I just try to relax and know that we are being well taken care of. I guess I am human and just a "worry wort" as Casey says. I just keep telling myself, "the Lord is taking care of you and this baby, what is meant to be will be". We have our 2nd trimester ultra sound on Wednesday. We kinda got a sneak peek of what we are having, I am sure everyone knows by now, but I want to wait until Wednesday for sure to announce it. We are so very excited!

17 weeks and Happy Birthdays!

We are 17 weeks along as of yesterday. That is halfway from the goal the doctor has set for us of getting to 34 weeks. My personal goal is to get to 36 weeks. I give the baby a pep talk just about every week counting down to my goal. Only 18 weeks and 6 days left!

I got my first progesterone shot last week and will get one every week until 36 weeks. Tomorrow we have a home nurse coming to teach Casey how to give me the shot! I told you he has been doing everything, and I mean everything...food, laundry, cleaning, entertaining, working, doctors, and now SHOTS! I will let you know how it goes.

Happy Birthday to Clare, one of my Best friends, Mollie, Casey's Mom mom, and to my Abuelita or Gran-ma who is gone but still her day. We love you guys and hope you enjoy your special day!

4 months

We are 16 weeks or 4 months today! I feel great. We are all just enjoying it and doing great. I can feel the baby move more and more. I will be able to feel kicks in no time. The baby's room is almost done. I got some more decorations for the walls and something to hang all Brody's teddy bears up. All we need to do now is just get the furniture and it will be done. I can't believe that in 2 weeks we will know what we are having!

Please keep Casey's Uncle Angelo in your prayers. His mother passed away a few days ago. I have heard that she was a real angel. One of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I never met her, but Uncle Ang is one of the nicest and sweetest people I know, I can only imagine he got it from her. He is all about his family and would give you the shirt off his back in freezing temperatures to keep you warm and comfortable. We love him and ask that that Lord comforts him.

doing great

Our doctor appointment Monday was cancelled due to snow. We had the appointment today. It went great! The operation is looking good and closed tight. The heart beat today was 152 and I am doing great. So, the plan is to keep taking it easy and around 26 weeks or so, if my cervix doesn't shorten in anyway, some of the restrictions will be lightened. If it does shorten, Then I finish my pregnancy in the hospital. In a few weeks we will find out if we are having a boy or girl! We can't wait! At 36 weeks the doctors will check the baby's lungs and then I will have a c-section between 36 and 38 weeks. A lot, I know.

Casey has been absolutely wonderful taking care of us. He makes me breakfast everyday and is just there. Please keep him especially in your prayers. He has been working so hard and has been so busy, we couldn't do it without him.

15 weeks and moving

Today we are 15 weeks along. Everything is going great. I am getting hungry as ever. I need to eat some type of snack every 2 hours or so. Sickness is just about all gone, I get my days. I am starting to feel movement in my belly. I so missed the feeling. No hard kicks, just movement and butterflies. I started feeling Brody kick at 18 weeks. We will see when this one starts. We can always tell where the baby is in my belly, there is always a hard lump. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow. Just part of the new routine. The one thing that gets difficult for Casey and I during pregnancy is trying to come up with a name. We named Brody in the delivery room. I like crazy and different names, Casey likes traditional names. So, if anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. We find out in a few weeks what we are having, that may make it easier on us.
