Happy Birthday Uncle Matt!!!

Today is Matt's Birthday! We wish we could be with him today and share his day. We will get to see him in just a few weeks and he will meet his nephew for the first time. We can't wait. Nico is truly blessed to have him. We love you Matt!




Nico makes some SERIOUS faces. He will just stare at you like he is trying to figure out the world. He's going to be a genius:) He also has a favorite blankey. He loves to snuggle in it, rolls on it, and just lay with it, so cute.




This little boy has got his roll down! He will stay on his belly for as long as he wants and the...whoop, he rolls over. Sometimes his arm gets in the way and watch out, it's the end of the world.

Nico has discovered that he really likes how he looks in the mirror. Daddy held him up to the mirror and first we got some crazy face and then all smiles. He's a cutie!



Nico has just starting smiling about everyday. It is the best thing to wake up at 3am to do a feeding and you are just so tired, then he just looks up at you and smiles. It makes it all better.





We had a visit with "Papa Chelo" yesterday, my dad. It was great. We had some delicious rice, beans, and roast pork and just hung out. Nico did love him. My dad just held him and Nico was checking him out the whole time. I will get some pictures up when I find my cord for the camera to import to the computer:}

doctor visit

Nico had his one month appointment yesterday. He weighs 10 pounds, 10 ounces, and is 23 3/4inches long. He is in the 60th percentile for his weight and 90th for his height. He is going to be a big boy. He also got a shot yesterday. It was so heartbreaking:( He was so happy just relaxing in my arms sucking on his binki, then she stuck the needle in, eyes opened, mouth flew open, binki dropped, and WHAAAAAAAAAAA! I felt horrible. He didn't cry for very long, but he was yelling at us and you can tell it was yelling. The doctor did say he is PERFECT!!!



Nico has learned a new trick. He can roll over! When he gets tired of his tummy time, he no longer waits for us, he can roll over himself. The doctor didn't believe me until she saw him do it on the table at his appointment yesterday. She was amazed. She asked me how long he has been doing it. The first time he rolled was at 2 weeks, but I just thought he got lucky. He also just did it here and there. Now he can do it just about any time he wants. He's getting so big.

1 month!

Nico is 1 month old! What a first month. He sure does keep us on our toes. We don't have his 1 month appointment until the 14th, but he is about 10 pounds right now. He is getting so big. He smiles, holds his head up, and is starting to talk to us. He LOVES to eat. It seems that he is always hungry. He's a growing boy. He sleeps well for us. He gets his last feeding around 9:30 then off to bed. He usually wakes up around 1:30 to eat and then goes right back to sleep, waking up again around 5:00 or so to eat again and then right back to sleep until 8:00. We couldn't ask for a better baby. We love him so much and we thank the Lord everyday for this miracle baby.




Things that Nico like are, his toys, especially the ones that play music, FOOD, and blowing bubbles.





On Saturday we went to Delaware Park for the day. It was nice and relaxing. We just had a picnic and enjoyed being out for these last summer days. As you can see, Nico is already a Phillies Fan.
