23 weeks
Today we are 23 weeks! Crazy past week. I have been in the hospital and will be here until further notice. We are doing great. They are taking great care of baby and me. Everything is looking great, my cervical length right now is perfect! I have a few contractions here and there but nothing to worry about. I have not been allowed to get up for anything, including restroom;( until yesterday. I can get up once or so a day now. I have been laying back with my feet raised and head lowered. It will all be worth it on July 28th. That us the big day my c section is scheduled for! I will be 36 weeks. It's a lot sooner than what I was hoping for, but I just have to trust. Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers for our family.

22 weeks

We are 22 weeks today! It has been a rough past week. Wednesday I had to go to the Triog because I was having a little pain. Nothing really concerning, just with my history I wanted to get checked out. Good thing I did. I was having contractions every 2 minutes. Thank God, with giving me an IV right away and just getting fluids for 2 hours, they were able to get them to just about stop. Very Scary! I was expecting for them to just check me out and check my cervix and say "all is well, just take it easy", but when they came in with the IV and the doctor said you are having contractions, I couldn't help but just start to cry and thought not again. Casey was with me, I gathered myself after a minute and thought to myself, relax and just pray. So, that is what we did. Casey and I just prayed. Thank God, again, they were able to stop it, I was NOT in labor, and I got to go home. Casey has been home with me every day since just taking care of me and making sure we are fine. He is such a great Daddy already. We love him!
Today Keith and Barb are over helping Casey do some "Spring Cleaning". Casey started to tackle the yard work on Friday. He trimmed shrubs and a tree, put down mulch, and cut the grass. Today him and his Dad are painting shutters, replacing screens, power washing siding, and Barb is cleaning all our windows. How wonderful! Thank You so much!

21 weeks

We are 21 weeks as of yesterday! I am feeling great. The baby kicks SO much. We love it. You can make him kick on demand. Just put your hands on my belly and he will start kicking them. He does not want anyone touching his Mommy I guess. He will also kick to Casey talking. It is so cute.
We had a great Easter yesterday! Casey and my Mom and Sister went to church. My Dad and Keith and Barb came over and we had some good food. It was great just being with family. Casey also got to talk to his brother, Matt! A great Easter treat for him. He misses him so much.

Easter Joy

I always wonder if most people know the real meaning of Easter. At Easter all we see is candy, Easter eggs, Easter baskets and lots of other Easter things for kids. But we don't hear enough about the TRUE meaning of Easter. People mostly think about the commercial part and not the spiritual reason behind it. I myself was raised Catholic and went to church EVERY Sunday, and still don't know if I understood it. It wasn't until I met my husband, Casey, and his brother, Matt, that really got me involved and Wanting to know Jesus. I don't know if I ever had a TRUE relationship with him. I still don't know if I have a TRUE relationship with him. I know that I love and trust him with my life and that I am learning and WANTING to be more like him. I want to know, understand, and one day be with HIM.
So, here is what I can tell you about Easter from reading and growing. Holy Week is the last week of Lent and begins with Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the day that Jesus arrived in Jerusalem where his supporters laid Palms at his feet. Holy Thursday was the Last Supper. The following day, Good Friday, is the day Jesus was crucified. Instead of mourning this day we celebrate that Jesus was willing to give HIS life for ours in order to give us eternal life. Easter Sunday is the day Jesus was resurrected. This is a joyful day for all who love him and reminds us of HIS promise for eternal life and HIS love for us.
Short, sweet, and to the point. I am not able to go to church today for medical reason. Last year we had a baby boy, Brody, which all of you know. He was born at 24 weeks and lived for 6 days. The best and hardest 6 days of my life. I was diagnosed with incompetent cervix. A normal cervix during pregnancy should be 4cm or longer. Mine was 2cm. We are now expecting again. I am 21 weeks pregnant today. I have been on bedrest for 9 weeks. I have doctor visits and ultra sounds every 2 weeks and get shots every week. There is nothing else the doctors say we can do but just see what happens. Well, I know it has nothing to do with the doctors and it is all in HIS hands. My cervix is just under 5cm! I have been doing absolutely great! We are having another boy. I feel peace, joy, and I am trusting that HE is the one taking care of us. As I am typing this, I am crying my eyes out. Not because I am sad that Brody is gone, I know he is happy and well taken care of, but because I feel HIM with me. I feel the kicks of our baby right now and KNOW it would not be possible without HIM. It is truly a miracle and this summer when we will get to hold our little boy, the first thing I will do and I do every day now, is THANK HIM.
Happy Easter to all and thank you ALL for your prayers for our family!

5 months

As of yesterday, we are now 20 weeks, 5 months! My belly is getting huge! I love it though. Our boy is getting so big and strong. Casey can ALREADY feel him kick. He moves all day long and so far lets me sleep through the night (I know this will not last for long once he is here). According to my book, he should be about 9 to 9.5oz now. Well, he was weighing in at 11oz two weeks ago. I am hoping he will be a little bigger just because he is going to be born a little early. Thank you for all your continued prayers for our family.
We had a wonderful weekend. Barb came over Saturday and helped Casey SCRUB the house top to bottom. Thank you so much! Also, some of our friends brought us some great food. Chrissy brought us some homemade gowumpkies (stuffed cabbage) and brownies. So delicious. Clare and Dave brought us chicken tetrazzini. We are saving this. And Cristin and Brandon came over yesterday and made some grilled steaks, yummy veggies, and brought some steamed shrimp. We had a wonderful feast this weekend! Thank you to everyone.

Deebo & Daddy
I think everyone knows about our Deebo. He is the funniest, craziest, and most loving dog out there. He lays up in the room all day with me. He loves the sunshine through the window and protects me from flies and spiders that may be in the room:) He absolutely loves being with his Daddy, as you can see. He has to be in bed with us. No matter how much we or I kick him out of the bed at night, he finds a way back up and cuddling in between me and Daddy. He gives us so much joy and happiness. I can't wait to see how he is with the baby.
