7 months!

Baby Ayars is now 28 weeks! That gets us to 7 months:) He is SO active. We are both getting more uncomfortable and we are both getting BIG! Only 8 weeks left and he will be here! Casey and I are so excited. Casey has been working on the room a little more. All that is left to get is furniture. Casey was on a Jazz kick yesterday. He put some music on that Matt recommended and this lil boy was going nuts in my belly! I put a cup on my belly and he almost kicked it over! He is a dancing boy. He also loves to just nest himself in the left side of my belly. There is always a big bulge and the nurses are always laughing at it.

We have not decided on a first name yet, but we are sure the middle name is Mose, after Casey's Pop pop:) So, Grandmom Ayars and Pop pop have been calling him Lil Mose. So cute!

Lil Mose got some great gifts today! Uncle Matt and Aunt Stacey sent him his bottles and diaper change organizer! It is so exciting to get thing we will be needing for this little one. It makes it feel so real. We are really going to make it this time. Thank You so much! We Love You!

Also, one of Casey's good friends, Brandon, and his wife, Amy, brought us a wonderful surprise to the hospital! They brought us 3 boxes FULL of baby clothes!!! I was so thankful and so excited. I refuse to buy anything while in here. I would spend way too much. With not having much to do and being in bed all day, I would probably get out of control. We definitely need to start getting ready for him.

I just want to say Thank You to everyone for all your prayers for our growing family. Also, to Casey, my Mom, Sisters, and Barb for staying in here with me. It has been 6 weeks and I have only spent 4 nights alone. You guys are definitely making this easier for me:) THANK YOU!

27 weeks

We are now 27 weeks! It is just flying by. Soon enough our little boy will be here:) I am feeling good, getting huge. The baby is doing great! He moves so much and is so strong, the nurses are so amazed. We can even feel his hiccups, can you believe that, hiccups! 9 weeks left! Our c-section is scheduled for July 28th @ 11:30am. The day before we have to get an amnio done, that is when they put a needle through my belly into the sack and draw out some of the fluid. This is the only way to tell if his lungs are developed enough. Sometimes with gestational diabetes it can slow down the development of the baby's lungs. I have no concerns, I know he is going to be absolutely fine:)

We are also getting so excited because Matt, Stacey, and Lily will be here soon! They will be here next month for a little over a week. We can't wait. We have not seen them since January and we are counting down the days. Lily is getting so big, it will be great to see her in person again. Please pray for them as they travel not only for 6 weeks, but with a baby. She will be away from home for the longest time she has ever been.

growing boy

We had a ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great! The baby is doing so well. He is estimated to weigh 2lbs 4oz! He is a very healthy boy. We couldn't get any pictures because he hid his face from us the whole time. It is always such a great feeling to see him. We will have another one in 2 weeks.

I am doing good. I had my sugar test on Tuesday and failed:( I had to take a 4 hour test today. They made me drink this sugary sweet drink and then drew blood every hour. I passed 2 and failed 2. My doctor will either change my diet and I will have to check my blood sugar after every meal or I will have to take insulin. I guess it could be worse. Atleast I am still pregnant and the baby is healthy as can be. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family.

26 weeks

We are now 26 weeks! 10 weeks left and our lil man will be here! We are so excited. I am feeling good. It is getting a lot harder for me to move. I get up once a day to shower and it is getting so hard. My muscles are nonexistent in my legs and arms. It doesn't matter though, our baby is safe and healthy. My belly is HUGE:) The nurses always tell me,"you're growing him good". I guess that's a nice way of saying I am getting big. Baby Ayars is so active. He moves and punches and kicks so much. I can feel him almost all the time. It is a great feeling.

Today Titi Michelle came to visit us! She is a very good friend of mine. More like a sister. She drove 2 hours from North Jersey to come see me and "Peanut" as she calls him. It was such a nice visit and meant so much to me. She is always there for me and Casey. We love her dearly. Thank You!

Happy Mother's Day

We want to wish all the women in our life a Happy Mother's Day. Just to name a few, Lorraine, Barb, Mollie, Kay, Aunt Candy, Aunt Lori, Myrtle, Sue, Stacey, Julie, and so many more. You mean so much to us and we admire and respect all of you. Enjoy your special day to all the wonderful Mothers out there. There is no love stronger than the love between a Mother and Child.

Today we are 25 weeks! We are past the point when Brody was born and everything is going great. I know for sure I will be here another 3 weeks, then we will take it from there. I am feeling good. The baby is doing so well. He is so strong and healthy. The nurses are always so amazed by how strong his heartbeat is and say that he sounds better than a lot of the other babies that are 30 weeks+. We are getting closer to picking a name! Maybe by the end of the day:) Baby boy Ayars LOVES his Daddy's voice. Whenever Casey comes in the room and talks, the baby kicks like crazy! He also loves music. He is a dancing boy. We are so thankful to be expecting and are patiently waiting his arrival on July 28th! It is going to be an amazing, blessed, emotional day.

AMAZING!

Today we had our normal biweekly cervical length measurement. All looks great! Length is great and my cerclage is still holding in place. We had another surprise, the tech was a daughter of a friend of Barb. She gave us a little extra special attention and gave us a cool ultra sound. We got some AMAZING 3D pictures! It was so amazing to see how different this baby looks from Brody. He looks exactly like Casey. I guess Brody had a little more of me in him then I thought. This one looks just like Casey. He has his cute cheeks, beautiful pouty lips, and Casey and Uncle Matt's Hair line. He did have my nose, no surprise. We had a wonderful day and are so thankful that we got such great news and on top of that got some amazing pictures.

6 months

Today we are 6 months and I am HUGE! They said just from me being on bedrest and my muscles being relaxed, I am going to get big. I am very excited and a little anxious. Brody was born at 24 weeks and 3 days, but I am feeling good. I have been in here for 2 weeks now. Believe it or not, it has been flying by:) I have not spent one night alone, which is helping. My Mom, Barb, and Casey have been taking turns staying. Everyone has been so supportive and I an thankful for all the support. Tomorrow I start my first round of steroid shots to help the baby's lungs develop. There is only 2 shots, thank goodness, I had them with Brody and they can be painful.

Every Thursday they have a support group for the women in here. I almost did not go, but I figured, why be by myself if they are offering support. There were 3 other women in there. I think we all helped each other. They are all further along than me, anywhere from 26 weeks to 36 weeks. They have also been in here longer than me. Anywhere from 3 weeks to 8 weeks! On top of that, they ALL have kids! We all had a few things in common, not only are we all having boys, but we are all thinking of the end result and will do whatever we need to get there. I realized even though I am the only one laying on my head, I am very blessed. I can have my husband and family with me everyday. These women could not because of their families. We also were asked what is helping us to pass the time and not get so depressed. One lady said shopping, which you should be so proud of me, I have not bought one thing! Another said thinking of getting out and having her baby shower, and the third said looking at my baby's ultrasound pics. They were all in tears as they were talking. Then it was my turn, the only one not crying, I said "praying". I know He is taking care of me. They all looked surprised. "anything else",they said. I just laughed. It helped me because I got to see how long these women have been in here and I know I can do it. I feel good about it too.

We will continue to take it day by day and I know we will get there!
