Prayers for Baby Mateo Paredes

Baby Mateo's family attends Sharptown Church, I don't personally know them, I have seen and spoke to his mom once. I have such a heavy feeling in my heart that I am supposed to do something for this family, I don't really know what, just something. So, all I can do is prayer. I have been praying so hard to the point that I am in tears every time. There is something about this little boy that just touches me. Maybe because I have been in a similar situation, I don't know. I am asking that everyone just PRAY for him and his family. Just pray that the Lord takes care of him.

Wow, I can't believe Nico is 11 weeks old today! It's going so fast and he is changing so much. He has been sleeping through the night for 2 weeks now. He goes to bed around 7-7:30 and wakes up around 5:30. He has a hard time napping in his crib during the day, he likes to be around noise. But, he sleeps great in his crib at night.



He is getting to be so much fun. His first belly laugh was at Daddy this past Saturday, and yesterday was at me. It's hilarious! He is swatting at his toys and talks up a storm. Yesterday, he was in his bouncy chair while I was doing dishes and I heard giggles and talking coming from the other room, I went in to check what was so funny and he was face to face, eye to eye with his cow. It was the cutest thing. Nico puts his hands in his mouth every chance he gets. I am constantly wiping them, they get so sticky.

Nico went to his first Bible study with Mommy and Daddy last night. He did great! He was talking and seemed to be listening. He drank his bottle, did his burps, and he was out. I am so thankful that we are able to take him places with us and he handles it well, even at bedtime:) We are so thankful for our boy. He is such a blessing and we couldn't have asked for a better baby.

Nico's Big Day!

Yesterday was Nico's baptism. I think he was aware that it was all about him. He never cried and loved all the attention. He is such a blessing. We are so thankful for the gift He has given us in Nico and the presence and impact He is making in our lives right now.

Nico got to Finally meet Uncle Matt and hang out with most of is family. He was such a good boy and enjoyed every last minute. He didn't even want to take a nap because of so much going on.

Nico had his doctor appointment yesterday, and he's growing perfectly! He is 14lbs 9oz(95%), 25inches long(97%), and growing great. He's a big boy! He eats about 6 ounces every 3 hours. His last feeding is at 7pm and then he will sleep until 3 or 3:30, eat, and then back to sleep until about 7. I couldn't ask for a better baby. He is loving his baths and gets SO excited when Daddy gets home from work. We are going to wait until next Thursday for his shots, he gets baptized on Sunday and we didn't want him to be unhappy. His next appointment is at 4 months and we will be talking about baby food!!!

Nico gets to meet his Uncle Matt for the very first time today! We can't wait.

Nico makes sooo many different faces and everyone looks like a different person to me. It's crazy how he could look like so many different people just by making a simple expression. He is definitely a great mix of our family.

Nico has picked up his cousin Lily's habit. He's starting to suck his thumb! You can really see the family resemblance in these pics.

Happy Birthday Mom-mom!!!

Today is Mom-mom's birthday! Nico loves his Mom-mom and Grammy so much. He knows how to work it alright! We love you, Happy Birthday!




As you can see, Nico is a big sports fan(mainly cause Mommy and Daddy). He actually loves watching football and baseball with Daddy! He's an Ayars' boy alright:) GO PHILLIES!!! E*A*G*L*E*S...EAGLES!!!

2 months!

Nico is 2 months old as of yesterday! It is just flying by. Before, when I would feed him it felt like I was holding a tiny baby, now it feels like I am holding a little boy:( Casey always says,"He looks so big in your arms". Nicolas is about 14 pounds and is about 24 inches long. He is in a size 2 diaper and wearing 3-6 months pj's and one piece outfits. Anything that snaps at the bottom HAS to be 3-6 months or he is not getting in it. Man, I can't believe how fast he's growing. He has his 2 month check up next week. Please pray for him, he will be getting 3 shots and I am hoping he handles it well, and me too.



I can't believe how much Nicolas is growing and changing before our eyes. He is starting to talk, smile, and laugh much more. He loves his play time with Daddy and is such a happy boy. He also loves being in just a diaper. If he gets fussy, just take off his clothes and he will be happy. He still has his "deep in thought" moments. He will just stare and look like he is really trying to figure everything out. I wonder what he will have in store for us the next few months...or years:)

Nico sleeps like Daddy, mouth open, tongue out. We have to put a positioner around him because he kept rolling into the bumper and screaming because he couldn't move.


Nico will be 2 months in just a few days. It is just flying by. We will be sure to update it then with his height and weight. He also will be getting 3 shots at his 2 month appointment:( I am so not looking forward to it. I wish I could get them for him.


Nico is starting to enjoy his stuffed animals and playing with Mommy and Daddy. He smiles, stares, talks, kicks like crazy, and loves flapping his arms. It's the cutest thing. He is changing right before our eyes. Playing sure does make him tired. These pictures from start to finish playing were about 10 minutes.
