Happy Birthday Da-da-da!

Yesterday, was Casey's birthday! It was such a great day! We went shopping with Keith, Barb, and my mom, and then we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Delicious! It was Nico's first time in a restaurant. We really don't go out much. But, he did great. He was so happy, playful, curious,and flirty with all the waitresses, not one could walk by with out him getting their attention:) He was giving them high 5's and would grab them or start banging on the table when they got close. He LOVED every minute of it. Then, Casey and I got to go out together on a date last night. It was nice, just feels SO weird waking up without Nico. I miss him. He got to spend the night with Grammy and Pop pop.

Yesterday was Grammy's Birthday! Happy Birthday!!! We Love You:)



Nico is wanting to stand and walk along the couch, ALL by himself! He's just growing way too fast!



Grammy and Pop pop got a new swing for Nico and Lily. He loved just swinging in the sun, feeling the breeze. He loved it so much, he fell asleep. As I was watching Nico's reaction to swinging, I couldn't help but think how different he and Lily are. Lily would have been screaming and laughing, while Nico was so relaxed and had a look on his face like, this is how life is just supposed to be, easy and peaceful. Nico also did NOT want anything to do with walking or crawling in the grass. Where Lily would have been probably rolling, running, and eating it. I can't wait until they meet this summer. One thing they both have in common is how much Grammy and Pop pop LOVE and ADORE them both!

new job, new school, new tooth

I had my first full week of work in over a year. I feel so physically and emotionally exhausted. It is such a long day away from Nico. It breaks my heart to not be with him. It is a full time job on top of a full time job. I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world though, neither one. I am enjoying being back at work and feeling like an adult again. I am thankful for the opportunity.



Nico on the other hand, is handling it wonderfully:) He had his first week of school and he loves it. He enjoys being around other kids closer to his age and his teachers are awesome. They are so loving and caring. He has taught them how to "cough" for attention. What am I going to do with him:) I walked in the class and one of the other children crawled up to me and let out a fake cough and just started laughing. They are too much. He is learning so much! He is in a class with 2 twin 11 month old boys and a 1 year old boy. So, needless to say, he wants to do everything they do. He's got them beat in size though.



Nico has just about got his crawl down. He is talking, laughing, and trying to get into everything. He's pulling himself up to look inside baskets and his first tooth has cut through. He has a cold and can barely breathe out of his nose, but still amazes us with how happy, cheerful, and pleasant he is. I could not imagine being so little, not being able to breathe through my nose and getting a tooth at the same time. What a champ.

7 months

Our little man is 7 months old! He is learning and growing so much. He is still working on his crawl, not too interested though. He would rather roll around the room, scoot on his back across the floor, or hold your hands and try to walk. He's sitting up in his crib, talking ALL the time, loves to eat, and loves to be around people. He seems like he is trying to make us laugh at him. He was 21 pounds a few weeks ago and 30 inches tall. Just so big! I took Nico on Friday to visit his new "school" and to meet the kids in his class, and he did amazing. He loved Ms. B, his teacher and care giver, enjoyed the other kids, and was just a happy boy. There are 3 other boys in his class. A 1 year old and 2 twin 11 month olds. Guess what, Nico is just as tall or taller than all of them. Ms. B could not believe how heavy he is. Monday will be his first official day! Keep me in your prayers:)



Today, we got to visit Great Mom mom Mollie for a little bit. She seemed happy and enjoyed her time with Nico. He is just such an amazing little boy. We can take him just about anywhere and he is always smiling and just checks the place out. Man, we are blessed.




Nico and I went to visit Papa Chelo yesterday. It was so good to see my Dad. Nico loved it too. He did his fake cough for Papa, he gave him lots of smiles, and just enjoyed all the attention.
