Miracle for Mateo

Such an AMAZING little boy! I continue to pray for Mateo EVERY single day! I have faith that the Lord has a wonderful plan for him. He is truly a MIRACLE!



Friday night, we went to a benefit for Mateo Paredes and his family. It was wonderful to see SO many people there to support this strong amazing lil man. Please continue to Pray for the Paredes family.






Nico can definitely hang with the best. He passed out around 8, woke up at 8:30 and just walked around, danced, and hung out until we left at 9:30. We couldn't have imagined Nico would be such a good baby:)

weekend adventures

Last weekend we went to North Jersey to see Titi Chela. It was such a great time! We got to go to Staten Island to see Aunt Rachel, Titi Chela and Aunt Rachel took all of us to the Staten Island Zoo, Nico's first trip to the zoo, Staten Island, and North Jersey! He was great. We ended up going out to dinner pretty late and I was not sure how he would handle it. Let me tell you, he did awesome! He just sat in his high chair until he fell asleep, and then into Mommy's arms until we left. He slept the whole 2 hours ride home and we put him right in his crib and out until the next morning.



This week Nico has decided that he WILL crawl. Out of no where, he's on his knees just gettin' around. He now has 2 bottom teeth, is drinking out of a sippy cup, and had pancakes for the first time today! He has been so clingy to Mommy for the past few days, not sure why. He's been crawling around daycare calling for Ma ma and Mommm,his teacher told me. We just need some extra TLC this weekend.


Nico has continued to want to walk and will walk with you holding your hands. He will walk along the couch and takes off in his walker at lightning speed:)So fun to play with. We are working on sharing with him right now. It is cute and sad at the same time. When we play with him, we ask if we can take a turn with his toy, which he gladly hands over to us, but then starts to cry. So sad:( We then say, "now it's Nico's turn again", and we give it right back. He is learning.


His favorite toy is his shapes, colors, and counting cookie jar. It sings and lights up when you take a shape out or put your hand in. His favorite snack is veggie dip crunchies. Like cheese puffs, but veggie flavor. He really doesn't have a favorite food, he likes all his fruits and veggies.


Nico is 8 months Beautiful and counting. AHHH, I just love him so much!

8 BEAUTIFUL months!

Our boy is now 8 months old! What an amazing 8 months it has been. Casey and I love Nico SO much, it is just impossible to explain. We are extremely blessed with a healthy, happy, smart, BIG, loving boy. He has 2 teeth, refuses to crawl, unless it's to something he wants, wants to stand and try to walk on his own. He has stood by himself a few times now. Always has me running to catch him before he hits the floor. Sleeps great, and LOVES, and I mean LOVES to eat:)

Nico absolutely LOVES his Grammy and Mom mom! He gets excited everytime he sees them. Always giving hugs, kisses, hair playing and pulling, and just the biggest smiles. We are so thankful to have them. Plenty of good advice!

Nico also loves the men in his life. He is just one of the guys when he's with them. Trying to walk, tooting(ewwww), funny noises, loves getting thrown in the air, and I think just hearing them talk. My brother continues to try and convince me to let him take Nico on his 4 wheeler, not quite ready:} He is one of the boys, for sure.

This weekend, we plan to go see Titi Michelle! She is Nico's God Mother and just a wonderful friend/sister to me and Casey. Always there for us no matter what. Michelle works rediculous hours and helps take care of her whole family and STILL fits us in. She lives about 2.5 hours away from us, and still manages to talk to us EVERY single day. Whether it's by phone, text, or email. She is always making sure Nico is doing fine, checking to see if there's anything he or us needs, and always asking how our families are doing. Happy Easter

We had great time with family this weekend. We had lunch with my Dad and his girlfriend. We got to see my brother, sister-in-law, all her family, and our nieces yesterday. Such a great time! Today, Mom mom went to church with us and spent the whole day here. Nico loved it.

Barb and Keith are in FL with Matt, Stacey, Lily, Malcolm and Lisa. We miss you guys SO much and wish we could have been there too. Not too much longer till we get to FINALLY be with you guys.
