23 beautiful months

WOW!  How fast has July gone by and my baby is 23 months.  There is just something about this boy that is special.  Could it be how caring and happy it is? Or, could it be that he knows the absolute right moment when Mommy needs a hug and a "I Lub You"? I don't know. It is so weird yet SO beautiful the bond between mother and child. It seems he knows as much about me and what I need ,as I know about him.

Every night since as far back as I can remember, we put Nico to bed and not a word, right to sleep. Tonight was different. I don't know why but, after about 5 minutes in bed, I heard Nico call "Mommy". I didn't know how to react. Actually brought tears to my eyes to hear him call for me. I love this boy SO much :)

happy 4th!

Yesterday was Matt, Stacey, Lily, and Sofie's last day in DE. We enjoyed the past two weeks with them. We don't get to see them much, so every day we can get with them is special. Especially now, with the little ones. Nico and Lily were good friends and Nico made sure to take care of Sofie. When he noticed her sleeping he would "SHHHH" and say "baby sleeping". Love these kids.

After our good byes, we headed over to my cousin's house, where we met up with the rest of the family. What a blast!

Our neighbors, Anna, Charlie, Gabriel, and Anna Carla, got Nico a cool gift today. A place mat with his name that he can draw on and a water bottle with his name. He was so excited and when they handed it to him he said, "Wow, Tank you!" He tested it out right away, also tasting the marker! This little one is TOO much :)

We ended our 4th with MomMom and Titi Bernie coming over! Nico LOVES them and always has so much fun with Titi Bernie and gets spoiled from MomMom.
