calm before the storm

This is tonight's sky, all pics taken within minutes. One side pink and beauty, the other side scary and ready to storm.  Within 1 minute of taking the pictures, pouring rain.

The hurricane is supposed to hit DE Saturday/Sunday. Please pray for safety and calm. 

Had to throw this pic in. It's the day after Nico's 2nd birthday party, on our way to Uncle Joe and Aunt Susie's house.  He looks like such a BIG boy!

For my birthday, we went camping with Dave and Clare. We had such a fun weekend!  Smores, camp fires, sleeping in a tent, cards, stories, and such great company. We loved it. I am hoping Nico will be able to join us next year : )

Cooking hot dogs on the fire. And, our tent. Dave got such a big tent, we had to share. We definitely weren't roughing it. 

After a wonderful weekend of camping with our best friends, we had to drive home in horrible flooding. Our normal drive should have been 2 hours at the most. It took us almost 5 hours. 2.5 hrs of which we were 16 miles from the DE Bemorial bridge and were flooded and stranded in NJ. We had to go from road to road, just find Flooded Road signs and had to turn around. Finally, one last road, above, that was flooded but not as high as all the rest and hadn't been closed yet. 

We made it home to all the family and a wonderful meal. Complete with Bday cake and ice cream.  We had a BLAST!  Thank you everyone!

gabba gabba YO!

What a GREAT party yesterday!  Our boy is officially 2! He partied hard with all his buddies and cousins. Bouncy, snowcones, cake, cupcakes, swimming, and almost everyone he loves. What else could a little boy ask for?

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY NICO!

How did this happen?  Our baby boy is 2! It seems it is getting harder and harder for me to find the "baby"in him. He is growing SO fast! He is talking up a storm, counting, singing songs, still eating!, and is just a really good boy.
