camping
This weekend was a brand new adventure for all of us! We all went camping. It is something Casey and I try to do every year, but Nico has been too young. This year we took him and he LOVED it! The dirt, bugs, trees, lake, bike rides, and beach! What else could a 2 year old ask for?

animals and play
Our boy LOVES animals! He talks all day about different animal, what sounds they make, and singing Farmer in the Dell. Loves them! So, last weekend we took Nico to go see his Godmother, Titi Chela! Guess what, she took him to the zoo : ) He was in animal heaven. She was absolutely amazed that Nico knew what every animal was. He is so into learning that now, he is wanting to get more specific. Before every big cat was either Tiger or Lion, now they are tiger, lion, cheetah, bob cat, and so. My little genius.
Nico is growing into such a great, fun young boy. He sure does have his own personality. Nico seems to want to do things on his own time. He likes picking out his own clothes, which will result in a guitar shirt, havanna hat, pajama shorts, and elmo rain boots. There is no changing his mind one he is focused on something. He will go to the bathroom on the potty, but only when he wants to, of course. I don't know very many 2 year olds that ask for chicken, salad, and pickles for dinner and will finish that and still be able to eat an apple, banana, and bag of chips.
Nico loves to rides bikes, but mainly because we stop at the "play" (playground) every time we pass it. Sunday we spent the morning with Mom mom and Titi Angie and Bernie at the park. He loved playing on the slide and spinning on the merry-go-round with Mom mom and Titi Bernie, and playing basket ball with Titi Angie, Tio Jose, and Hector. This boy has the will to try and that is so important to me. I love seeing the determination in his eyes when he tries to do something and then the happiness in his face when he is able to do so. I look forward to watching this lil' man grow in many different ways every day.

Happy Mommy's Day!
We got to spend the weekend with all of our favorite Moms! We love you all and thank you for all you do.
My day started out with a big ol' Happy Mommy's Day from my boys. It really doesn't get any better than that. The endless hugs, kisses, and happiness of my lil man is what made this day perfect. Nico will be 3 in just a couple of months and is growing faster than i would have ever imagined, but still loves to snuggle up and love his Mommy. I hope this never ends : )
