What a wonder birthday for our little man. He was so excited and proud to turn 4, he could hardly stand it. Last night he was excited to go to sleep because when he woke up... He would be 4!!!
As I was ironing my clothes at 6:00am this morning, the house was dark and completely quiet. Out of nowhere I hear " I'm 4...I'm 4 NOW!" I was almost in tears by the excitement in Nico's voice. He was so proud to be turning 4, it was the first thing on his mind when he woke up. I walked into his room to wish him a happy birthday and got greeted by the biggest, happiest, most loving skier I have ever seen. Nico jumped off his bed, ran over to me, gave me the biggest hug, and said " I'm 4, mommy... I'm 4!" It was a morning I will never forget.
Nico had a birthday party at school and then Casey and I took him to the family fun center for games, bowling, and then out to pizza. I don't think there was a happier 4 year old in the world today! These are the memories that will last forever. Being able to see your chid full of so much joy in happiness is the best.
