Settling in

Well… It's been almost three months since we moved to FL and since I have updated.  I am sorry, just a lot to soak in.  We or should I say I am finally starting to feel a little settled.  We have had our parents come visit and now Barb and Keith will be moving down in just a couple of weeks.  Exciting

My feeling about everything are really just everywhere.  It has been hard for me to make this home.  I have a beautiful house, I am here with my babies and love, and yet I am missing Delaware.  I am missing my family, my job, my co-workers, and friends.  I guess the feeling is normal and it's going to take time, but I will get there.

Nico is adjusting well. I have been  homeschooling to keep him ready for kindergarten in August. I also try to keep him as busy as possible with walks, the zoo, cleaning, and him just being my big helper.  I am trying to keep his mind off him not getting to see his cousins.  Also trying to keep his mind off him  missing his two weeks with Lily and Sophie that he usually had this time of year, but he's been doing well.   His big concern recently has been about his birthday.  He has one friend down here and it's almost his 5th birthday.  YES, the BIG 5!!! There are not many kids his age in our neighborhood and we all know Nico is used to being absolutely loved on by all our friends and family for his birthday.   I will do all I can to make his day just as special.

Lucia on the other hand LOVES it.  She was meant to be a Florida baby.  She wants to be outside, loves the beach, loves walks, and loves the sunshine.  She couldn't be any happier : )

Next on the agenda, get Grammy and Pop pop moved in and look for a job, yikes!

Below are pics over the past few months.  Enjoy!

overload

Can you say "OVERLOAD"!  We have so much going on right now and it's about to get crazier!

We will start with the move!  Our family is relocating to Florida.  Bitter sweet of course.  All our family is here and we have no one down there, so of course we celebrated with a big family dinner yesterday.

Casey got a promotion at his job, I resigned from my job : ( , and we will be heading down this week.  Casey leaves on Thursday, which is also his birthday. I will be flying down with the kids on Saturday morning.  My best friend Michelle will be flying with us to help out (and relieve some of my stress).  Wish us luck!

Our life is in a box right now

Now for the kiddos.  Lucia is 6 months old now!  She's just over 15lbs, eating and sleeping like a champ, and is a talker.  She has also developed a "social anxiety".  She cries when she gets approached by someone new or that she hasn't seen in a while.  She eventually warms up, but it's heart wrenching.  Should be a interesting flight on Saturday : \

Nico had his last day of school last week.  He has been at this school ever since he was 6 months old, so they were sad to see him leave.  I will give him 2 - 3 weeks to get comfortable with Florida and then it will be homeschooling with Mommy until kindergarten starts in August or September (not sure how it works in FL).

One of the good things about moving to FL...we will get to see Matt, Stacey, and the girls more, I think!  They usually travel to FL for some holidays and meetings, so hopefully we will get to see them a little more. We can't wait to see them in April!

It might be a few weeks before I get back on here, but I will do my best to update.  Thank you for all the prayers for our family during this event.

happy days!

We are now in Februaury,  Nico is in Pre-K and learning SO much so fast, and Lucia is 4 months old!  My babies are growing too fast : (

Her are some pictures from the past month just catching up.

New Year's Eve!

Her shirt says it all.. IPood!!!

These are my kiddos at 6:00am ready for school.

A few weeks ago we took a nice road trip to visit Tit Chela (Nico's godmother and my best friend) and Titi Rachel (my other best friend).  These two girls love my kids as their own.  They soil them, love on them, and take good care of them.  We love you guys!

Titi Chela with her 2 godsons, Nico and Gio

Lucia is 4 months old!  She is a whopping 13.4lbs and 24.5 inches long.  She is eating baby cereal, still drinking as much as possible, and for the most part sleeping through the night.

Lucia's personality is coming out and she's not afraid to show it. When she is annoyed she growls, when angry screeches, sad pouts the lip and eyes, and my favorite, when she's happy she hoots and hollars as loud as possible so ALL can hear… even if it's at 4:00am.

Nico and Lucia are going to be a force to reckon with in years to come. They both love each other, smiling when they see one another, and Nico always want to just take care of her.  I grew up with a big brother.  That can be good and bad ; )

I have a  crazy beautiful life and love every minute of it!
