So, I know it's been a while and so much has happened in the past months or so. Our lil' boy is just developing in so many way.
To begin, 4 new teeth in the span of a couple weeks, all molars. My poor baby. He handles it so better than I do. No fussing or crying, just chomps on toys and his hand. Nico is so good when it comes to getting teeth and I guess change in general. The only reason we know when he's getting a new tooth is because he gets really congested and then a week later, a tooth is there.
He is such a good little boy. I have to say, putting Nico is daycare is NOT what I ever imagined doing, but that's what we had to do. I was afraid he would pick up bad habits of other kids and not be the respectful pleasant little boy we wanted him to be. I am so pleased with who he is becoming. His manners are already developing so well. Every time someone sneezes, without hesitation, Nico says, "Bless". He is doing so well with when he wants something. At first it's "me or mine" and all we say is "Nico" or "what do you say" and it's, "Pease". He say "Tank eww"(Thank You), gives hugs and kisses to family and friends, help with opening and closing doors, and helps clean up. We could not be any happier with who he is.
Nico loves dancing and music. Anytime any kind of music comes on, he starts bobbing up and down and hands go up in the air. He also likes to read his books. He will just sit looking through a book and point to every animal or object that he knows and says what it is. Other books, he will just talk his own little language pointing to the words, as if he is reading the book to Mommy and Daddy.
He loves watching Barney and Elmo and pretty much knows more nursery rhymes than Casey and I. The song, "The wheels on the bus" came on the other day and he knew every action to the song. He taught us for a change.
Now, when it comes to words, I think I have lost count! He knows all of his animals and sounds. He knows most of his colors. He is trying to count. If he is starting to pull at the pages to rip his books, I say,"Nico, that's not nice", and he follows up with "not nice" and will stop. I am thinking next will be potty training. When ever he has a soiled diaper, He says,"Poop, poop", I guess letting us know , It's diaper change time. Daddy taught him that.
I can't believe how grown he is already. And how BIG! Already wearing size 6 shoes and 2T clothing. It's happening way too fast. I still look for those little things that remind me he is my baby. Like when he is tired and says "blanket" and just wants to snuggle with us.
I could go on forever about our miracle boy, I will leave something for next time : )
